Spanish Language (60 hours). In this course we deal with the grammatical and communicative Spanish language system, and there will be practice in the production and comprehension of oral and written texts. On the first day of the course there will be a Placement test to distribute students among three levels: elementary, intermediate and superior.

Spanish Culture (20 hours): In this subject three fundamental aspects are dealt with: History, Art and Spanish Literature, in their most brilliant periods and at their essential peak moments (Middle Ages, Golden Age, Art and Culture of the Twentieth Century) with visits to emblematic buildings in the city of Barcelona.

Students in this course are required to have Spanish Language knowledge so as to be able to follow the Spanish Culture course.

Intensive Spanish language Courses have a duration of 40, 60 and 80 hours. Several consecutive intensive courses can be followed, with the progression of content being guaranteed.

Students are grouped into three homogeneous levels of knowledge of Spanish (elementary, intermediate and superior). The Placement Test is given on the first day of each course.

Attendance to these courses grants students the right to obtain an attendance certificate which indicates the corresponding ECTS's.

In order to fulfill the number of hours planned for each course, the number of daily hours of class will be determined at the beginning of each course, bearing in mind national, local and academic holidays not taken into account in the calendar year.

This is a course intended for students and professionals in training whose studies and interests are related to the business, commercial and financial world and who require Spanish to handle fluently a labour situation.

In order to register for this course an intermediate or superior level of Spanish is required.
