Estudios Hispánicos organizes and teaches specific courses in Spanish language for students who belong to the Erasmus exchange programmes.

These courses are especially designed for European university students, in such a way that during sessions they only work with specific materials elaborated for their concrete needs, also in order to develop their discursive skills which are required so as to carry on with their studies at the Universitat de Barcelona, any other Spanish university or a Spanish-speaking university.

These courses are taught three times a year. They amount to 40 hours and are organized in two levels of language knowledge: basic/intermediate and intermediate/advanced.

For the academic course 2012-2013 the dates for the three editions are as follows:

INTENSIVE SPANISH COURSE (elementary and intermediate levels)

Course dates: 03-09-2012 to 14-09-2012, Monday to Thursday from 15:30 to 20:30 hours

REGULAR SPANISH COURSE (intermediate level)

Level test: 19-10-2012 at 10 hours
Publication of groups and schedules: 23-10-2012 at 10:00 hours
Course dates: 29-10-2012 to 20-12-2012
Registration period: 23-10-2012 to 26-10-2012 from 9 to 14 hours

REGULAR SPANISH COURSE (elementary and intermediate levels)
for 2nd semester exchange students
ECTS: 5
Level test: 15-02-2013 at 10 hours
Publication of groups and schedules: 19-02-2013 at 10:00 hours
Course dates: 25-02-2013 to 30-04-2013
Registration period: 19-02-2013 to 22-02-2013 from 9 to 14 hours

On the first day of class there will be a placement test. It is not necessary to register for this test.

In order to take part in these courses it is necessary:

• To be accepted at the UB as Exchange Students.
• Take the Placement Test on the day it is offered.

Registering for such courses has to be done personally in the Secretary's office of Estudios Hispánicos (it cannot be done via internet). The course fee is 115 €.
